Hands-on practice
Each student has their own set of lab equipment during the practical. Laptops and spreadsheet software are provided for use during the session.
Practical preparation
Build familiarity with experimental work as part of your preparation for school practical assessments and prelims.
A separate session
Practicals run separately from regular two-hour tuition lessons. Different tutors may conduct the sessions.

From March, with compulsory preparation in June–September
Exact dates and session arrangements will be announced.
- From March: practical sessions begin; session dates will be arranged.
- June, July, August and September: compulsory practical preparation for enrolled J2 students in the respective science, charged at $100 per session.
Physics practicals are established. Chemistry and Biology launch dates remain to be confirmed.
Enrolled students in the respective science will have their compulsory sessions booked and arranged automatically. Session dates and the number of sessions will be provided.

For students currently enrolled in the same METRIS science subject.
The discounted rate applies only to that subject. Compulsory sessions are also charged at $100 each.
$320 per session
For students not currently enrolled in the respective METRIS science class.
Both rates include use of an individual set of lab equipment for each student, plus laptops and spreadsheet software during the practical.

Before your session
Who qualifies for the $100 rate?
Students currently enrolled in the same METRIS science subject. Being enrolled in a different subject does not qualify for the discounted rate.
Are compulsory sessions free?
No. Compulsory June–September sessions are charged at $100 per session for students enrolled in the respective science.
Can students outside METRIS attend?
Yes. The rate is $320 per session for students not enrolled in the respective METRIS science class. Contact us to arrange a place.
