Dr Alson Chng
PhD, NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering; Bachelor’s studies in Chemistry, National University of Singapore
Dr Alson Chng pursued his PhD at the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering, focusing on Medicinal Organic Chemistry.
His doctoral thesis, “Chondroitin Sulfate-C Disaccharides and Tetrasaccharide in Wound Healing and Cancer”, examined the optimisation, synthesis and characterisation of natural products and their potential applications in wound healing and cancer.
He completed his undergraduate Chemistry studies at NUS with a specialisation in Medicinal Chemistry and a minor in Forensic Science.
Alson has tutored H2 Chemistry for more than a decade and also trains students for Chemistry Olympiad.
